BURNHAM Ramblers suffered a double disappointment.

They exited the FA Cup at the preliminary round stage on Saturday with a 3-1 defeat by visiting Hadleigh United after going down to nine men and followed that up with a 4-2 Ryman League division one north defeat at Leslie Field on Tuesday night against Harlow Town.

Ramblers player/manager Bertie Brayley said: “Harlow are a good side, I can’t be too harsh, I think they are serious title contenders.

“We went 3-0 down and it’s the same old story at set pieces.

“Discipline is a problem and that has been the case since the start of the season.

“Some of the players’ attitudes were poor, not so much on the pitch and their work-rate but off the pitch. We didn’t get going until we were two or three down.

“We can’t let teams get that far in front and then start playing and it is something we will have to address.

“Personally, I think I need to be on the sidelines to see how things are going.

“I am playing because we have had players leaving and unavailability.

“I haven’t been able to put my best side out each week, what we need is a bit of stability in the squad. We need to cut out the negativity and some people need to change their attitudes or there will be a parting of the ways.”
