BURNHAM Ramblers fought back from behind to secure an exciting 3-3 draw against FC Romania, in their latest pre-season friendly on Tuesday night.
The Essex Senior League side took a 12th-minute lead but Lhevreux Menga swiftly levelled for Lee Elliston’s side.
However, Romania scored again on 39 and 45 minutes to secure a 3-1 half-time lead.
Marc Gorbell pulled one back within ten minutes of the restart and then Ricky Evans levelled just before the hour-mark, to complete Ramblers’ comeback.
There is only just over a week to go until the new Ryman League division one north season, which kicks-off on Saturday, August 9.
Burnham’s first match is a a trip to Romford and they then host Tilbury on Tuesday, August 12.
Ramblers are scheduled to play one more pre-season friendly and that is at home to East Thurrock, on Saturday.
Kick-off at Leslie Field is at 3pm.
