MALDON skipper Martyn Coker wants his side to show their fighting spirit.
They fell to a heavy Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Championship divisor one ten-wicket defeat at Haverhill on Saturday but were without opening batsmen Jamie Glenn and Chris Harris.
Maldon posted 150 for nine in a rain-shortened match but the hosts easily passed the total with Amit Gupta starring with the bat, recording 101.
Coker said: “After a very difficult run of results, now seven defeats in a row, it is really important the side stick together.
“We need to work as hard as we can to show the fighting spirit we have shown so many times before.”
