BURNHAM Ramblers manager Keith Wilson is urging his players to end their season well.

The Ramblers have suffered a string of bad results, shipping 12 goals in their last two Ryman League division one north matches, 6-0 at Thurrock last Tuesday and 6-1 to VCD Athletic on Saturday.

Now the Leslie Field side face a busy Easter weekend with a trip to struggling Wroxham on Saturday and a home match against Aveley on Bank Holiday Monday.

Wilson said: “We need to finish the season.

“We are plummeting down the league at the moment.

“Wroxham are fighting for their lives near the bottom of the table.

“So it will be a tough game, but if we turn up and play, as I know we can, we should be able to take the win.

“It’s a long old trip and it will be an early start, but we can get some team spirit and camaraderie going on the coach then take that out on to the pitch.

“On Monday, we need to put in a display against Aveley.

“We need to have the right attitude.

“We also owe them for a 3-0 defeat earlier in the season.

“We didn’t turn up then so we need to do that.

“And it’s our last game at home for the season.

“The fans, the little we have, have been tremendous this season and we owe it to them to go out and get a win.”
