Maldon and Tiptree assistant manager Barry Lakin was pleased with with their win against Cheshunt.
The Jammers won 2-0 in their Ryman League division one north encounter on Tuesday night, bouncing back from their 6-1 mauling by Dereham Town at the weekend.
Assistant manager Barry Lakin said: “The performance was an excellent response to Saturday’s defeat.
“We came back, scored two goals and kept a clean sheet so it was a good result.
“Everyone came through the game well.
“There was a bit of cramp.
“But hopefully some of the bruised egos have gone down and we can work on some things on Thursday night and look forward to the weekend.”
