Burnham Ramblers secured a good away win despite going down to ten men.

Ramblers secured a 3-1 win at Erith and Belvedere in their Ryman League division one north match on Tuesday night.

Erith and Belvedere had an early chance when Reis Boyle headed over.

But it was Burnham who went close to open the scoring when Jack Mead had an effort cleared off the line.

And it was the visitors who broke the deadlock on 21 minutes when Brad Nobbs grabbed the opener.

Ramblers then went further in front when Billy Hunt went on a great run and fired home a low shot.

Mark Sisson then went close with a header that Erith keeper Ashley Bourne did well to keep out.

The home side came back into the match just before half-time with a number of shots on goal but Burnham soaked up the pressure to go in 2-0 up.

Soon after the break Hunt had a chance to make it 3-0 when he beat the offside trap but shot wide.

However, Burnham were then reduced to ten men when Nikki Beale was shown a red card on 53 minutes.

This, however, didn’t seem to pose Ramblers too many problems as they went 3-0 up on 71 minutes through Sisson.

But the hosts did pull a goal back on 82 minutes when George Savage made it 3-1.
