BURNHAM Ramblers boss Keith Wilson is desperate for his side to get out on the pitch.

The Ramblers’ previous four Ryman League division one north matches have been postponed, including last Saturday’s fixture against Thurrock.

And Wilson is hoping that this weekend’s visit by Barkingside will survive the weather and the Leslie Field pitch will see some action.

Wilson said: “It’s very frustrating, everyone is in the same boat.

“It’s hard for us in a way, we don’t have the resources or funds to get 3G pitches but we carry on as best we can.

“I have made signings like Mark Sissons and Brad Williams and they have been here for three to four weeks, they’ve trained well and fitted into the group, but haven’t played a game.

“We may be fortunate to get the game on on Saturday the groundstaff have been doing a fantastic job and our pitch usually is one of the better ones.

“There is a 20 metre by 20 metre patch that is an issue.

“But the rest of the pitch is good."

But to add further woe to the Ramblers’ side they have lost their top goal scorer.

Neil Richmond has left Leslie Field to join Ryman Premier side East Thurrock United.
