BURNHAM Ramblers boss Keith Wilson believes their win against Tilbury was a massively important result.

The Ramblers came from behind to secure a 3-1 Ryman League division one north win against their visitors at Leslie Field last Saturday.

After going a goal down the home side controlled the rest of the match.

Ramblers sit in 14th place in the table and the win saw them leapfrog Tilbury in the table and put two points and two places between them.

And Wilson is well aware of how vital these kind of matches are.

He said: “It is massively important to beat the sides that are in and around us.

“I said that at the start of the season.

“You can have some good results, like we have had against Maldon and Tiptree, and grab a point at places like Heybridge.

“But it is mightly important that we pick up points against the sides around and below us to make sure that we stay away from trouble and secure our place in the league.”

Ramblers are back in Ryman League division one north action again this Sunday when they travel to Erith and Belvedere for a 3pm kick-off.
