Burnham Ramblers boss Wilson secures a hat-trick of signings

BURNHAM Ramblers manager Keith Wilson is delighted to have snapped up another of his top summer targets.
The Leslie Field boss has freshened up his attack by swooping for Canvey Island striker Jay Nash.
Wilson recently signed another two of the players on his pre-season wish list – defenders Terry Griffiths and Mark Gorbell, from neighbours Maldon and Tiptree.
And now he is delighted to have Nash, who came through the ranks at Dagenham and Redbridge.
“I’m so pleased because I’ve now signed three of the five players I set out to sign in the summer,” said Wilson.
“I spoke to Jay when he was still at Great Wakering but, understandably, he wanted to test himself when the chance came to join Canvey.
“Unfortunately, it didn’t work out for him there but now I’m delighted to bring him to Burnham.
“It’s a loan of sorts, but more of an agreement than anything official.
“If Canvey get lots of injuries, he could be recalled but I’m hopeful I’ll be able to keep him as long as possible.
“He’ll offer us something fresh and different up front.”
Wilson’s side return to division one north action on Saturday when they host Soham Town Rangers.
