Maldon and Tiptree boss Spillane is disappointed by draw

MALDON and Tiptree manager Terry Spillane was left disappointed with his side's draw against struggling Redbridge.

The visitors pegged the leaders back to 2-2 in their Ryman League division one north encounter at Park Drive on Saturday.

Lee Boylan gave the hosts the lead on 60 minutes before James Robinson looked to have made the game safe 15 minutes later.

However, Redbridge came back to stun the league leaders.

Jacob Cleaver pulled a goal back for the visitors before adding another with a late strike to salvage a point.

Maldon and Tiptree manager Terry Spillane was disappointed with the way his side gave up their lead.

He said: "I expect any team of mine that is 2-0 up to be able to close the game out.

“I am not happy with the result, it feels more like a loss than a draw."
