BURNHAM Ramblers boss Keith Wilson is reflecting on an eventful few days – even though his side have not played a game.

Two Ramblers players have spent time in hospital.

Grant Khory-Davidson collapsed during training last Tuesday and had to be taken to hospital in Southend.

Charlie Kirby, meanwhile, was in Basildon hospital from Saturday until Monday night, having complained of chest pains that first arose during the previous weekend’s 5-3 victory against Sporting Bengal United.

“It’s certainly been an eventful few days, although thankfully both boys appear to be OK,” said Wilson.

Meanwhile, Essex Senior League leaders Burnham have completed the signing of right-back Adam Salmon, from Romford.

The club also know their opposition in two cup competitions, after the draws were made on Saturday.

They will visit Barkingside in both the Gordon Brasted Memorial Trophy and the League Cup.

The latter is a two-legged affair, with the second leg being at Leslie Field.

Burnham were left without a game last weekend, following the postponement of their league match at Hullbridge Sports.

Weather and pitch-permitting, they are due to host Southend Manor on Saturday (kick-off 3pm).
