BURNHAM Ramblers boss Keith Wilson expects his players to be refreshed and raring to go when they visit Stansted on Saturday.

It will be their first match since December 15, following the postponement of their Essex Senior League clash at Bowers and Pitsea the weekend before Christmas.

The squad reconvened for training in Basildon’s Gloucester Park on Saturday.

And with another session scheduled for tomorrow night, Wilson says his players will be champing at the bit for their contest against the Airportmen.

“The boys are ready and raring to go,” said the Burnham boss, whose side are top of the Essex Senior League table.

“Players have had a chance to get over little niggles and we’re all looking forward to playing again.

“The forecast is dry for later in the week, so hopefully the weather won’t intervene because the last thing we want is another postponement.”

Burnham’s first home game of 2013 is against Sporting Bengal United next Saturday, January 12.
