HEYBRIDGE Swifts put in a record-breaking performance as they went on a goal-blitz against Redbridge.

Swifts fired in 11 unanswered goals against the visiting Motormen in their Ryman League division one north encounter.

It was the first time the Swifts had hit double figures in senior football since 1958.

And coupled with their 8-0 demolition of Redbridge earlier in the season, Swifts have secured a Ryman League record.

It is the highest aggregate win, 19-0, over a side since the league began in 1905.

Swifts destroyed Redbridge at Scraley Road with three players grabbing hat-tricks.

Ben Newson opened the scoring on three minutes and went on to secure his hat-trick in the first 45 minutes.

Luke Callander added to the score-line on 22 minutes and then walked the ball into the net on 34 minutes.

Michael Cheek scored his goals on 32 minutes and then slid in the mud with keeper and defender, came up with the ball and netted his second on 37 minutes.

Swifts finished the half 7-0 up but the goal deluge was to continue in the second period.

Three minutes after the break Cheek secured his hat-trick.

Callander then made it 9-0 five minutes later.

Callander hit his fourth of the match, from close range, on 65 minutes.

Solomon Ofori then got in on the goal action to wrap up the scoring as he lifted the ball over the keeper for 11-0.
