LEADERS Maldon and Tiptree are taking it one game at a time.
They are unbeaten in Ryman League division one north and have an exciting derby clash with third-placed Heybridge Swifts at Scraley Road on Boxing Day (kick-off 1pm) to look forward to.
They want to remain unbeaten and to do that they first have to negotiate visiting Potters Bar Town tomorrow.
And that will not be an easy afternoon as fifth-placed Town have promotion dreams of their own.
Maldon and Tiptree assistant manager Jody Brown said: “I know it’s a cliche but it’s a case of taking one game at a time.
“Everyone talks about the unbeaten run and the derby but it’s all about the next match.
“Potters Bar are a decent side and they held us to a 2-2 draw at their place earlier in the season, so it won’t be an easy game.
“Potters Bar will probably look at our last couple of results and feel fairly confident and believe that they can something from the game.
“We will have ups and downs but fortunately, we’ve still managed to win games without being at our best.”
Swifts will prepare for their derby day clash with a trip to Thamesmead Town.
Town are sixth in the table and four points behind their visitors.
