Leaders Maldon and Tiptree continued their winning run with a hard-fought victory.
They secured a 1-0 win in their Ryman League division one north game at Harlow Town.
But the visitors were made to work hard for their three points at Barrows Farm.
The home side had the better of the first half.
But after the break, a Joe Gardner cross found Jamie Guy who fired in from close range.
Maldon held on for the win and another valuable three points.
They are now 15 points clear of second-placed Grays Athletic.
