BURNHAM Ramblers are the new Essex Senior League leaders.
The Leslie Field side moved to the summit by winning 4-1 at Sporting Bengal United on Wednesday night.
They now go to Great Wakering, who they knocked off top spot, for a crucial fixture on Saturday.
“It’s a massively important week for us,” said Ramblers boss Keith Wilson, whose side saw off Basildon United 2-0 last weekend.
“I can’t deny that I’m looking forward to going back to Wakering on Saturday.
“There’s real pressure as both sides will be desperate to win, but it’s a challenge we’ll relish.
“It’s a massive game. We’ll go there full of confidence and I hope we do ourselves justice.”
