Maldon and Tiptree have increased their lead at the top to ten points.
The leaders handed out a 6-1 thrashing to visitors Cheshunt at Park Drive in their Ryman League division one north encounter.
The gap at the summit increased due to chasing Aveley’s, now in third spot, match at Witham being postponed.
Joe Gardner fired home the opening goal in the 41st minute and then doubled Maldon's advantage five minutes into the second half.
This opened the floodgates as Chris Bryan, Arran Best and Ben Bradbury all got their names on the scoresheet.
Cheshunt did pull a goal back, however, Maldon’s goal-machine rumbled on and Dave Wareham added the sixth and final goal in the last minute.
