TIPTREE Road Runners have retained their top spot in the 53-12 Cross-Country League.
The third race at Notley Park saw Tiptree maintain their position as leaders in Pool B, sharing equal points with Hadleigh Hares.
The men’s team finished third and the ladies fourth on the day.
Simon Morgan was first home for the club in 53rd place, with Craig Dawson (56th), Mark Brewer (60th) and Paul Dellar (78th) completing the scoring team.
Other Tiptree finishers were Stuart Meddeman (86th), Jamie Fairfull (112th), Adam Richardson (116th), Rob Hadgraft (131st), Jim Slater (138th), Malcolm Bailey (143rd), Vince Monk (145th), Peter Bouldstridge (153rd) and Jeff Fairfull (163rd).
For the ladies, the consistent Tracy Harrington finished 13th for the third race in a row with Tina Clarke completing the scoring team in 37th.
Valerie Rees made her club cross-country debut in 60th followed by Wendy Smalley (88th), Rose Haskey-Jones (92nd) and Dawn Shilling (93rd).
Ted Skinner was the club’s only competitor at the Essex Cross-Country League fixture at Hylands Park, finishing in 128th.
