LEADERS Maldon and Tiptree maintained their position at the top with an important win against chasing Grays Athletic.
Maldon ran out 2-1 winners at Park Drive in their Ryman League division one north encounter on Saturday.
The home side opened the scoring on 30 minutes through Ollie Berquez.
Ten minutes into the second half James Robinson fed the ball to Jamie Guy who made no mistake in front of goal.
Grays managed to grab a consolation goal late on but Maldon secured the important three points.
