MY next opponent has been confirmed as Josef Obeslo.

He is 28 years old, from the Czech Republic, and has four first-round knockouts on his record.

He’s clearly heavy-handed and has taken the unbeaten record of one of those victims as an away fighter in Denmark back in 2013.

He loves to cause an upset by the sounds of it!

His last win was in February 2015 and he took just 35 seconds to triumph over his opponent.

I looked through his record to get an understanding of him and four first-round stoppages tells me that he can punch and knows how to finish a fight off.

My team-mate, Sam Stokes, fought and beat him on his debut back in 2014.

He said to me that he always comes to win the fight but he was just not quite good enough against him on the night.

That’s exactly what I want in an opponent – someone to come looking for a win, confident and throwing shots at me.

I want that pressure and danger but, ultimately, for me to use my boxing ability to defeat him.

He’s far more experienced than me, having had over 40 bouts, and he has fought some good people, such as the Commonwealth light-heavyweight champion Callum Johnson.

You may remember Callum winning the gold medal for Scotland in the Delhi 2010 Commonwealth Games.

I’m going away to Portugal this week to train hard in the heat to finish off my training camp.

It’s been a long camp, having had my fight moved from March to April, but I couldn’t be happier with how it’s all gone.

So I’m really looking forward to April 1 as it’s nice and local for everyone to get to at The Skylark Hotel in Southend.

Hopefully everyone will get behind me and I’ll get another win on my record and push on to bigger and better fights next.

I’m looking to win well against my next opponent, then to move up to six-round fights next and to finish the year with a British Challenge belt.

Your support means the world to me so please get in touch if you want to come and cheer me on.

I’d like to congratulate team-mate Matt McCarthy on a solid win at the weekend.

He won all six rounds against a tough opponent at the Brentwood Centre to move up to 17 wins on his record.
