Sam Walker says Colchester United must travel to Fleetwood Town this weekend and show they mean business.

The U's lie four points adrift of safety in League One with three games remaining and make their first-ever visit to Highbury in desperate search of points.

After Colchester's game at Fleetwood, they host Swindon Town next Tuesday and then finish the season with a home game against Preston North End, on Sunday May 3.

U's keeper Walker said: “We have to go to Fleetwood and win.

“It’s four points now with a game in hand and that game in hand will be huge – but only if we can win on Saturday.

“We can’t think about Swindon yet – we have a long trip up to the seaside to think about first but we certainly can’t treat it like that, that’s for sure.

“We need to go up there and show that we mean business and that’s what we’ll be preparing for this week.

“It will do us good having a week to prepare for Fleetwood.

“We didn’t have much of a turnaround from Chesterfield, not that I think that affected us.

“But it will do us good to get back to the training ground and spend some time together, especially at this time of the season."
