Brightlingsea Regent boosted their Ryman League division one north play-off hopes with a win at Barkingside.
James Webster’s side are now six points off the play-off zone, following their 2-1 victory over the strugglers.
Josh Gould gave Brightlingsea a 12th-minute lead and Charlie Durling doubled it seven minutes later, to put the visitors in command early on.
Calvin Poku pulled a goal back for Barkingside with three minutes remaining to ensure a grandstand finish but Brightlingsea held on for three vital points.
