CLACTON and District Indoor Bowls Club hosted their first-ever Ladies’ Gala Day.
It was hailed a great success, with 14 teams taking part from the Clacton, Thorpe, Harwich and Colchester areas.
The winners were Happy Valley Outdoor Bowls Club, from Clacton, and the runners-up were Harwich.
Thanks went to gala day organiser Jean Taylor.
Results: Over-60s County League: Clacton A v Harwich A (home) - Clacton won as match conceded, Clacton A v Harwich A (away) - Clacton won as match conceded; Clacton B V West Mersea B (away) - Clacton won 33-7, Clacton B v West Mersea B (home) - Clacton lost 23-21; Clacton C v Havering C (home) - Clacton won 28-12, Clacton C v Havering C (away) - Clacton lost 20-18. County League division one: Clacton v Falcon (home) - Clacton lost 61-57, Clacton v Falcon (away) - Clacton lost 72-50.
