Tony Humes praised his free-scoring Colchester United side after their draw at Swindon Town – and then challenged them to become even more prolific.

The U’s extended their unbeaten league run to four matches with a share of the spoils against the Robins and have hit the net 15 times in their last seven games, in all competitions.

Rhys Healey bagged his fourth goal in five league matches and Gavin Massey also scored, in an entertaining contest at the County Ground.

And while boss Humes was pleased with his side’s attacking prowess, he now wants his U’s side to be even more clinical.

Humes said: “We’re scoring goals and we should be scoring more.

“We’re creating more opportunities but we could still be a bit more ruthless.

“We’re getting people into goalscoring positions and the good thing is that we’re looking dangerous.

“It was a great finish from Rhys (Healey) and he gets in there – he’s a goalscorer and Gavin (Massey) also took his goal well.

“The players are confident and they’re enjoying their football and making things happen.

“It was a fantastic game of football - there were chances at both ends and either side could have won it.

“But we’re happy coming here with a good performance and it’s a really good point for us.

“The attitude and the work-rate of the players was top-class.”
