Swifts prepared for new season

HEYBRIDGE Swifts prepared for the start of the new season with a well-taken win.
Swifts begin their Ryman League divison one north campaign with the visit of Harlow Town on Saturday.
But last weekend the Scraley Road side finished their pre-season preparations with a 1-0 win at Steve Tilson’s Canvey Island.
Swifts manager Mark Hawkes’ side acquitted themselves well in the encounter and a second-half goal from Ben Newson sealed the win.
