Personal best for Tiptree's Morgan

ABIGAIL Morgan battled windy conditions to set a personal best.

Strong winds affected the runners at Friday’s Clacton Five Kilometre race, but Tiptree Road Runner Morgan coped well with the conditions to take almost a minute off her previous best time with a run of 24m 8s.

Simon Morgan ran the same time.

Daisy Greenwood completed the fun run in three minutes.

James Haskey-Jones finished the Halstead five-mile race in 32m 35s to take seventh place and lead the Tiptree team to third spot.

Rob Hadgraft ran 39m 6s with Rose Haskey-Jones finishing in 53m 19s.

At the Willingale trail race, Graeme Moon was first home for the club in 1h 30s, followed by Peter Bouldstridge in 1h 44s and Tracy Harrington in 1h 45s.

Les Childs continued his return to racing with a run of 1h 4m 29s, with Roger Duffield finishing in 1h 24m 41s.

Earlier, Duffield ran the third race in the Harwich Five Kilometre series, against strong winds on the outward stage, finishing in 27m 50s.
