Tillingham lose out to Southend

TILLINGHAM welcomed Southend on Sea and EMT to Vicarage Lane.
Southend won the toss and decided to bowl in this T.Rippon Mid-Essex League division three match.
Tillingham plodded away with the bat with the best knock coming from skipper Cummins, who was undefeated on 41.
Butler bowled well for Southend and Tillingham ended on 159 for six off 45 overs.
In reply, Southend struggled on a difficult track and, with tight bowling from the home side, it looked as if it was going to be a close finish.
Pursey bowled tightly with figures of four for 27 off 12 overs but Ejaz (59) helped the away side towards victory, which came on the last ball of the 44th over.
