Tillingam lose out to Havering

TILLINGHAM welcomed Havering to Vicarage Lane where the home side were put into bat.

Phil Hurst returned to the team with a top score of 31 before being defeated by an in-swinging yorker from Wilkins, who claimed four for 19 off nine overs, which helped the away side rip through the middle order.

Terry Stiffel came in late to hit 30 off 22 balls to help Tillingham to a total of 119 all out.

In reply, Ford claimed two early wickets to keep the home side in with a fight, but some good batting from Beechey, who went on to score 72 not out, helped Havering to 120 for three off 36 overs.

Stiffel was consistently good with the ball, beating the outside edge, but unfortunately couldn’t make the breakthrough.
