Ainscough still upbeat after slender defeat

Maldon Cricket Club skipper Jimmy Ainscough was far from downbeat after his side’s tense defeat against Haverhill.
The Drapers Farm team lost by just three runs, in Marshall Hatchick Two Counties Championship division one on Saturday.
“We lost, but certainly weren’t downhearted by our performance,” said Ainscough.
“As it turned out, it was their last-wicket stand of 16 that beat us.”
