MALDON Town got back to winning ways in a seven-goal thriller at Park Drive.
Town were 2-0 down and then came back from 3-2 behind to clinch a 4-3 Ryman League division one north victory against visiting VCD Athletic.
This win brought to an end a five-match losing streak in the league and two goals from Jack Jefferies saw them on their way.
The visitors took the lead through Meshach Nugent and looked in dominant form when Leroy Huggins doubled their advantage.
But Maldon managed to reduce the deficit before half-time when Jordan Tolan struck for the home side.
But Athletic restored their two-goal advantage after the half-time break when Huggins claimed his second.
But now Maldon began to turn the tide and on 55 minutes Jefferies pulled one back.
And the home side equalised midway through the half through Daryl Plummer.
It was Maldon who were now in the ascendancy and with eight minutes to go Jefferies fired them in front from a tight angle to grab the three points.
