TIPTREE Road Runner Laura Shewbridge continued her superb season at the Horndon Ten kilometre.
She finished the hilly course in a personal best of 41 minutes 33 seconds to be the first woman home.
Earlier this month Shewbridge set a new club record at five kilometre and placed highly in the Southend half-marathon, showing great versatility and consistency.
Damien Hartshorne finished in 45m.
The fourth race in the Harwich five kilometre series saw more success for Tiptree Road Runners with three personal bests.
Simon Morgan led the way, just ducking inside his old mark, with a strong run of 18m 37s.
Matt Kett posted his fourth personal best of this year’s series with a run of 21m 56s, an improvement of over a minute since the start of the season and a performance that places him eighth overall in the series with one race to go.
Dawn Shilling has also been improving rapidly.
Her run of 25m 40s, which represents a massive improvement of almost four minutes over the series, gave her sixth place on the night and second overall in the series.
Jamie Fairfull just missed out on a new mark, running 20m 23s, followed closely by Martin Avent in 20m 42s.
Tiptree’s other finishers were Rob Hadgraft 22m 12s, Darren Foy 22m 55s, Roger Duffield 24m 1s, Barry Dobson 24m 23s, Tina Clarke 24m 55s, Carol Foy 29m 23s and Nick Smith 32m 26s.
In the junior race, Abigail Morgan ran 6m 15s to finish second fastest girl, while Charlene Duffield set a personal best of 6m 26s to finish third fastest girl.
At the Bury Friday Five, Roger Duffield was first home for the club in 40m 30s, finishing first V65.
Carolyn Bownes ran 41m 55s, followed by Barry Dobson in 41m 56s.
Duffield continued his busy racing schedule at Saturday’s 5.5 mile Willingale Fun of the Fair trail race, completing the course in 55m 47s to finish eighth overall and first V60.
On Sunday, the four-day Tour of Terling began with an 8.5 mile trail race.
Jim Slater and Malcolm Bailey were first home for the club in 1h 25m 30s, followed closely by Duffield finishing his fourth race in as many days in 1h 25m 50s.
Carolyn Bownes and Barry Dobson completed the course in 1h 45m 21s.
