MALDON Plume school swimming star, Lauren Baker did exceptionally well in Witham Dolphins swimming clubs’ annual summer club championships.

It was held at the William De Ferrers Sports Centre in South Woodham Ferrers.

She won the gruelling ‘skins’ event for the second year running.

This is a six 50m freestyle swim with minimal rest between the swims, after each race the slowest swimmer is eleminated.

She also swam a personal best time in the 100m Individual Medley event.

Team-mate Lauren Flight, also a Plume school student, won all five of her events in the 15-16 year girls age group.

Anyone interested in joining this friendly swimming club is welcome to come for a trial on a Sunday evening at 5pm at the Bramston Sport Centre in Witham.
