BILLY Hunt hit a spectacular volleyed winner as BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT secured a 2-1 victory at home to Enfield Town.

Josh Gould gave James Webster’s side a dream start in the Bostik League premier division encounter, scoring after 12 minutes.

Enfield then levelled just before the hour-mark through Simon Thomas.

However, Regent made it three league victories in a row when Hunt popped up with their winner – blasting home from the edge of the area - on 83 minutes.

Regent return to action on Tuesday night when they visit big-spending Billericay Town.

Elsewhere, HEYBRIDGE SWIFTS continued their incredible start to the new division north season, making it five victories out of five after winning 1-0 at Aveley.

Luke Callander scored their precious winner after 34 minutes.

Jody Brown’s men are second in the table behind AFC Hornchurch, who continued their own perfect start with a victory at Potters Bar Town.

MALDON AND TIPTREE eased to a 4-1 success at home to bottom side Norwich United.

Ryan Clampin gave them an early advantage and Johnville Renee made it two after 26 minutes.

Nathan Stewart halved the deficit early in the second half but Junior Ogedi-Uzokwe’s brace – he added goals in the 56th and 76th minutes – completed an emphatic victory for the Jammers.

WITHAM TOWN were also victorious, gaining their second success of the season after winning 2-1 at Brentwood.

All the goals came in the second half.

Liam Whipps put Witham ahead and although Izzy Bademosi levelled ten minutes later, Damien Green popped up with a late winner for Adam Flint’s men.

The only disappointment was two red cards, with Alex Anderson and later Whipps dismissed.
