THE draws have been made for the opening rounds of next season’s FA Cup, FA Vase and FA Trophy competitions.

There are a couple of eye-catching first-qualifying round ties in the Vase, with Wivenhoe Town at home to Holland FC and FC Clacton entertaining Coggeshall Town.

Brantham Athletic are away to Redbridge while Halstead Town face a trip to Long Melford.

Stanway Rovers and Vase debutants Little Oakley have received a bye into the second qualifying round, where the former will visit the winners of the Melford v Halstead tie and Oakley will travel to either Tower Hamlets or Hackney Wick.

Clacton, who have just confirmed the signing of striker Terry Rymer, or Coggeshall will be away to Redbridge or Brantham, while either Stansted or Wodson Park await Wivenhoe or Holland.

The preliminary round of the Trophy sees Heybridge Swifts host Carshalton Athletic and Maldon and Tiptree go to Northwood.

If they win, Swifts will be away to Tonbridge Angels while the Jammers would entertain Walton Casuals or Canvey Island.

Witham Town have received a bye into the first qualifying round, where they will be away to Potters Bar or Tilbury.

Brightlingsea Regent also enter the competition at this stage with a trip to Thamesmead Town or AFC Hornchurch.

In the FA Cup extra preliminary round, it’s Takeley v Wivenhoe, Stanway v Gorleston, Clacton v Clapton and Felixstowe and Walton v Brantham.

Then in the preliminary round it’s Broxbourne Borough or Tower Hamlets v Takley or Wivenhoe, Southend Manor or Wroxham v Stanway or Gorleston, Clacton or Clapton v Norwich United and Felixstowe or Brantham v Cheshunt.

Elsewhere in the preliminary round, Swifts will travel to Hoddesdon or Haverhill, Maldon will host Waltham Abbey and Witham will travel to Canvey Island.
