IT’S as you were at the Ryman League division north summit following victories for leaders MALDON AND TIPTREE and second-placed BRIGHTLINGSEA REGENT.

The Jammers won 3-0 at struggling Great Wakering Rovers, while Regent romped to a 4-1 success at Brentwood Town.

Both sides now have 34 points, as do third-placed Bury Town, who pipped Aveley 1-0.

Maldon are top by virtue of a superior goal difference and they did their statistics no harm with another clean sheet and comfortable victory.

All three goals came in the last 11 minutes, with Montel Agyermang breaking the deadlock and Liam Nash swiftly making it 2-0.

It was the latter’s 12th league goal of the season, taking him one ahead of team-mate Adam Mills.

Kye Jude’s late own goal from Rhys Henry’s cross settled the contest and completed another satisfying afternoon for Kevin Horlock’s men.

Maldon are now unbeaten in seven league games and this victory helped them bounce back from last week’s FA Trophy exit at the hands of Billericay Town.

They play Braintree Town in the Essex Senior Cup on Tuesday.

Brightlingsea are unbeaten in ten matches, including nine victories, after their big win at Brentwood.

They continued their free-scoring ways and although Matt Hall put the hosts ahead, Tom Richardson replied with the first of his two goals on 38 minutes.

Hall was then sent off right at the end of the first half.

Richardson netted again just after the midway point in the second half and Aaron Condon converted from the penalty spot for his 13th Ryman League goal.

Shamido Pedulu put the cherry on the cake with a fourth three minutes from time.

WITHAM TOWN bounced back to winning ways with a 1-0 victory at home to VCD Athletic.

Adam Flint’s men had lost their previous three league and cup games but ended their losing streak with a timely win at the Village Glass Stadium.

Tim Monsheju scored the only goal from the penalty spot after 65 minutes.

It was his eighth league goal of the season and a result that lifted Witham up to 17th.

Unlike Maldon, Regent and Witham, HEYBRIDGE SWIFTS had a miserable day after losing 5-0 at home to Thurrock.

Jody Brown’s men have now dropped into the bottom three, having started the day a place and a point above the drop zone.

Thurrock scored three goals in the first half and two more in the second.
