TILLINGHAM Bowls Club hosted this year’s carnival triples tournament, with 18 teams from the Burnham, Southminster and Tillingham clubs playing for the trophy.
Carnival queen Jasmine and attendants Connie and Olivia visited the club during the morning and showed great interest, with queen Jasmine having a go at bowling.
The keenly-contested tournament was won by a Tillingham team of Tony Wallis, his son William, daughter Pippa and his sister Anna Wallis de Garay.
Ray Kempen, Kevin Burridge and Gary Bray-Webb, from the Southminster club, were runners-up.
