FIFTY-FOUR full members competed for the Mayor's Cup at Maldon Golf Club.
This is one of the oldest trophies contested at Maldon, having been presented to the club in 1903 by Maldon Mayor and club member HA Krohn Esq.
The Krohn Cup, named in honour of the former Alderman and Mayor, is also played for every year at Maldon.
This year's competition was a close-fought battle with the in-form Nick Rushen (18 handicap) continuing his winning ways to secure the trophy with 38 points, on countback from past captain Pete Hawkins (five).
There was a four-way countback on 37 points for the places from third to sixth, with Ben Griffiths (13), Rob Holland (16), Graham Guthrie (0) and Ted Ellis (27) taking the respective honours.
The weekly prize for nearest-the-pin on the fifth/14th went to Jordan Crozier, while the prize for the closest second shot to the par four sixth/15th hole went to Richard Nash.
Maldon's ladies played for the Barker Cup.
The winner this year was Sue Gardiner.
Marjorie Royle was second and lady captain Mary King third.
