ROMA Raymond, lady captain of Five Lakes' ladies section, celebrated her Captain's Day.
Her day started with the lady members greeting her at the entrance to the club dressed in saris.
Her mode of transport for the day was a golf cart decorated with the flags of India and a cut-out image of the Taj Mahal. Roma had a wonderful day and was also supported by her family, who joined in on the celebrations.
The ladies later played in an 18-hole four ball better ball competition and in first place were Sue Butterworth and Carole Lewis.
Sue Sandle and Mavis Day were second and Marion Bermingham and Fiona Brown third.
The prizes were presented to the ladies by Roma and her granddaughter.
This was followed by the ladies, family and friends enjoying a buffet meal at Five Lakes' Brasserie restaurant.
