A STRONG field of 28 riders took to the E21/10 course for Maldon and District Cycling Club's lastest evening ten-mile time trial.
Fastest rider on the night was Simon Alexander of the Richardsons Trek team, who set a blistering time of 21 minutes ten seconds, but quickest Maldon rider was James Farren with a finishing time of 23m 44s.
Farren was closely followed by Anthony Marsh with a time of 23m 53s.
Harry Paine of VCUK PH-MAS CT was the fastest junior on the night with a time of 21m 47s.
Fastest lady was Maldon's Lisa Hurrell, who completed the course in a time of 25m 22s, with a special mention going to Colchester Rovers' Stuart Weatherley as he set a stonking time of 23m 41s on a road bike rather than a time trial machine.
