MALDON Cricket Club's cricket week is always one of the highlights of their season - and this year is no exception.
The event runs from this Saturday until next Friday, at Drapers Farm.
After Saturday's league game, the club will be hosting a live set from Six String Makeover, from approximately 7pm.
On Monday, there is a three-way T20 competition featuring Maldon Cricket Club, the Plume School and an All-Star side. Afterwards, the club will be hosting a live set from The AnnxerZ, from approximately 7pm.
On Tuesday, there are colts games in the afternoon, followed by a special Maldon Young Guns versus Maldon Rugby Club match at 5pm.
The winner will receive the James Quartermaine Memorial Trophy.
James was a member of both the cricket and rugby clubs, but was sadly killed in a traffic accident earlier this year at the age of 20.
Afterwards there will be an Australian-themed barbecue.
On Wednesday, Maldon will play against Hadleigh and Thundersley, with a pub quiz to follow later in the evening, from approximately 8pm.
On Thursday, Maldon play against a Heybridge Social side, with local businessman John Hill supporting the day.
Cricket week finishes on Friday with a match against the Two Counties Championship over-50s side, followed by a ploughman's supper.
