THE Forrester Park veterans played a four-man team game where the best three scores on each hole counted.

The winners, with a score of 120, were Ron Adlington, Eric Barker, Peter Waknell and Stuart Wilson.

Tony Goble, Dave Hannan, Jack Whinney and Alan Wilson took second place, with 113 points, with the team of Steve King, Dale Rayner, Tony Traveller and Les Willsher taking third place with 105 points.

They beat the team of Dave Ayres, Peter Cowley, Dennis Morley and Ted Moulds on countback.

The ladies played a stableford which was won by Mel Kuhl, with 29 points.

Sue Stead took second place, beating Jo Dixon on countback.

The ladies' team played their first bronze match at Langdon Hills and, although the result was a disappointing loss by six games to one, every match was close, going to or past the 18th.

The men’s weekend stableford was won by Simon Collins, with 42 points.

The May Day mixed competition was a team event with two ladies and two men in each team.

Three members scored on par four, four on par threes and two on par fives.

The winners were Alan and Susan Wilson and Mick and Carol Yore with 112 points.

Diana Ketley, Ian Gibbard and Graham and Judy Podd were second with 106 points.
