THE opening cross-country fixture of the season saw three teams from Tiptree Road Runners in action.

Tiptree ladies had two complete teams in the Essex cross-country relay championships, finishing 31st and 32nd.

Individual times: Paula Rothero 25m 1s, Zoe Gould 26m 3s, Wendy Smalley 28m 41s, Gemma Schelus 26m 48s, Kim Broughton 24m 53s, Lindsey Visage 28m 19s.

The men’s team finished 38th in their event.

Individual times: Craig Dawson 17m 43s, James Haskey-Jones 18m 10s, Edward Skinner 22m 7s, Graeme Moon 22m 58s.

Paul Mingay completed the Felixstowe Coastal 10 in 1h 1m 41s to finish first V55 and Paul Dellar continued his great recent form with another personal best of 1h 9m 33s.

The Maldon half-marathon saw Andrew Conway first home for the club in 1h 43m 21s with Mark Lawes running 1h 49m 16s.

Simon Baker made his club debut in 1h 55m 50s.

Anthony Knight ran 2h 4m 27s and Lynne Baines 2h 28m 31s.

At the Maldon Prom Parkrun, Malcolm Bailey ran a season’s best time of 22m 55s with Anthony Knight finishing in 26m 8s, David Stokes 27m 48s and Rose Haskey-Jones 35m.

Rob Hadgraft, on holiday in Copenhagen, finished the Faelled Parkrun in 27m 12s and Tim Ford ran the Netley Abbey Parkrun in 24m 41s.
