MEMBERS at Five Lakes Golf Club competed for the Ameeco Cup.
The stroke play competition contributes to the golf club’s annual scratch prize and David Rogers (6) was the scratch prize winner on the day with a gross 74, two shots over the course par of 72.
Four players returned nett 73s, John Mayle (14), Steve Harris (19) and club captain Roger Hyman (19).
Peter Dunnett, Danny Murtagh (14) carded a nett 72, followed by Alan Garnett (10) with a nett 71. Just outside the main prizes was Rob Kilgour (11) with a creditable 69.
Third place on count back went to John Rogers (13) with a nett 68, beaten by his son David (6) on the same score with 34 on his back nine holes.
First place went to Andrew Gilbert (19) with a nett 67.
Birdie balls were won by Jack Garnett and Billy Coe on the fourth, Danny Murtagh and John Rogers on the eighth and Alan Garnett on the 16th.
