MALDON and Tiptree boss David Wright was left frustrated with his side’s second performance of the season.

The Jammers had made a winning start to their new Ryman League North campaign with a 2-1 win against newly promoted Phoenix Sports at Park Drive on Saturday.

However, on Tuesday night they were held to a 3-3 draw against visiting Redbridge.

Wright, in his first season in management, said: “I have got to say frustration sums up Tuesday night’s performance.

“In possession we looked dangerous.

“We should have scored more than the three goals that we did.

“We created a lot of chances.

“But we conceded three very poor goals.

“We saw improvements on Saturday’s performance.

“We dominated the game from the start, right from the first whistle.

“That’s why it was so frustrating that we gave away those goals.

“It was concentration really, they just switched off for a second.

“If you do that at any level of football then you are going to get punished.”

The Jammers were denied at the death as visiting Redbridge came back to claim a 3-3 draw.

However Wright was philosphical about the result heading into this weekend’s match at home to Great Wakering Rovers, he added: “It was only our second game of the season and we have four points.

“We are not getting carried away, we will get back into training today, work through a few things and go again on Saturday.”
