Burnham Ramblers boss Keith Wilson is quietly confident about the season ahead.

Wilson has been busy trying to secure players for the coming Essex Senior League campaign, following their relegation from Ryman League division one north last season.

Wilson took over the team for the last few weeks of the season after the departure of manager Bertie Brayley.

And following chairman William Hannan stepping down and Martin Leno taking over two weeks ago, Wilson has been tirelessly working to fashion his side for the future.

Wilson said: “The last couple of weeks since Martin has taken over we have got our heads down and been working hard.

“We have secured the signatures of all the players from last season that we wanted to.

“We have a good core of players who know the club and who know me and that can only bode well for the coming season.

“Players such as Ricky Evans, Brad Nobbs, Scott Keys, Kye Jude, Charlie Burns and Ricky Stubbs.

“I’ve missed a few names off as well but we have some other people coming in such as keeper Louis Green and Nikki Beale and striker Robbie Farrell from Aveley has agreed to come down.

“And we have a few old faces returning such as Andrea Mantovani and Ash Baptiste from Halstead Town has also said he will join us.

“So the numbers are looking good and things are falling into place.”
