Maldon and Tiptree’s winning run came to an end at Park Drive.
They had been on a three-match winning streak but they fell to a 2-1 Ryman League division one north defeat aagainst visiting Tilbury.
Maldon opened the scoring on 31 minutes through Tunde Adewunni.
He controlled the ball, got past the defender and fired home against former Jammers’ keeper Jack Giddens.
However, after the break Tilbury got back on level terms when Emile Aiken made it 1-1 on 54 minutes.
Tilbury then took the lead on 65 minutes through Neil Richmond.
Burnham Ramblers secured a much-needed win away at Thamesmead Town.
The visitors took the lead with a goal from Andrea Montovani on 42 minutes.
But just after the break, Thamesmead equalised through Jack Hopkins on 54 minutes.
However, Ramblers got their noses in front again when Ricky Evans made it 2-1 on 68 minutes.
Brightlingsea Regent’s match at Barkingside was postponed following a pitch inspection, as was Heybridge Swifts’ game at Ware.
In the Ryman Premier, Witham Town’s home game against Peacehaven and Telscombe also fell by the wayside.
