THE final race of the 53-12 Cross Country League saw Tiptree Road Runners’ ladies take second place.

Tracy Harrington finished 20th, Kate Finch 29th, Lyndsey Rollerkite 49th, Abigail Morgan 51st and Dawn Shilling 73rd.

The men’s team were fourth, led by Craig Dawson in 15th place.

James Haskey-Jones was 30th, Simon Morgan 60th, Paul Dellar 64th, Gary Perryman 104th, Rob Hadgraft 128th and Jeff Fairfull 137th.

Tiptree were third on the day overall and finished the season in fourth place in Pool B.

In the junior event, another superb run by Tom Rehal saw him finish third and second Under-15 boy, a result that made him the season’s winner in the Under-15 category.

Nick Baker was 18th, Robin Matthews 27th, Georgina Haskey-Jones 49th and Reece Vincent 53rd, to give the junior team fourth spot on the day and fifth overall for the season.

At the London Winter Run 10K, Stacy Hember (53m 34s) and Louise Hawkins (56m 10s) set personal bests.

Graeme Moon ran 48m 54s, Valerie Rees 50m 35s and Kim Broughton 55m 56s.

Anthony Knight finished the Regents Park 10K in 53m 50s.

In local Parkruns, Jonathan Finch finished the Colchester event in 21m 7s and Gary Perryman 21m 38s.

At Kingston, Andrew Conway ran 19m 58s and Tim Ford finished the Netley Abbey Parkrun in 25m 41s.

Zoe Gould took part in the Essex Cross League fixture at Abbey Fields, finishing in 60th place.
