It was hard defeat to take for Burnham Ramblers at leaders Harlow Town.
They lost their Ryman League division one north match 4-2 but it had looked as if they could have held on for a well-battled draw.
The home side took the lead with an Alex Read penalty on four minutes.
But the Ramblers equalised through Bradley Walsh on 37 minutes.
And it got better for the visitors as they shocked Harlow two minutes later when Ryan Imbert gave the visitors the lead.
After the break, Read pulled his side level with a goal on 66 minutes.
With the game looking like it was going to end in a draw and a deserved point from Ramblers, Read popped up to complete his hat-trick on 89 minutes.
Ramblers were then reduced to ten men a minute later before Junior Dadson scored Harlow’s fourth in injury-time.
