ALAN Kimble’s appeals for cool heads appears to have fallen on deaf ears.

Maldon and Tiptree were once again reduced to ten-men in their Ryman League division one north match against Great Wakering Rovers on Saturday.

The Jammers were tied at 2-2 when Alberto Pinto received his marching orders for a poor foul on 57 minutes.

Maldon then went on to lose the game 5-3 at Park Drive.

That brings the red card tally to five sending-offs in the last four games.

Pinto now joins Max Lette-Jallow, former Maldon player and now Heybridge Swifts boss Cliff Akurang, Gavin Greenfield and Joshua Oyinsan for an unwanted collection of cards.

Kimble said: “It was very disappointing to pick up another red card.

“The people who have been sent off have let the club down and they will be dealt with in the right channels.”

The club had been enjoying a decent run of form which had seen only one defeat in the league in seven matches, including ending high-flying Harlow’s long unbeaten run with ten men.

However, a 4-0 defeat at Ware followed by Saturday’s defeat ended that run.

Kimble said: “We have shipped nine goals in two games and I can’t have that. All the good work that was done with the win at Harlow has gone out of the window.

“We are right back in the mire now.

“We are losing to teams around us when we should be losing to teams above us.

“It is very difficult.

“I was disappointed by the way we collapsed on Saturday. I know we went down to ten men but we did the same against Harlow and we went on to win the game.

“We have to get back to basics and work hard.

“We need to pull together as a team and press on.”

Maldon and Tiptree host Thamesmead Town in the league on Saturday.
