NORMAL service has been resumed at the top of the Burnham and District League division one table.

Mapledene A and Fambridge A both recorded 10-0 wins this week to move into the top two positions.

Mapledene B just edged a close encounter with Cold Norton B as Stuart Gibbs was unbeaten but young Sam Lowman and not so young Neil Want recorded excellent wins over John Monk and Steve McSweeny for the losers.

Another treble from Mindaugus Sinkus helped Cold Norton A to draw with the impressive Maldon B team, for who Steve Whiteley and Brian Riedling each won twice.

Division two leaders Cold Norton D powered on thanks to Chris Hancox maintaining his impressive 100 per cent win record at Woodham C, his team won 7-3 as neither of his team-mates, Dave Hancox and Daniel Anderson, could cope with the powerful play of Zoe Davies. Stow Maries C and West Maldon C fought out a draw with Craig Foster impressing for Stow with three wins, including the prized scalp of Gordon Gatheral.

Trebles from Chris Ciniglio and Nick Duce ensured that West Maldon B ran out easy winners against Maldon F. Maldon D just got the better of their E team as Steve Scholz won three and was supported by a couple of wins from Ciaran Whelan.

In a top of the table clash in division three St Lawrence A just edged out Maldon U3A 6-4 thanks to a Michael Pratley treble and a couple of wins for Bob King.

Bill Puxley recorded two wins for U3A.
